Vituity Selected as a Finalist in Biothreat Challenge

February 14, 2018 – EMERYVILLE, CA – The Vituity Data Team has been selected as a finalist in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Hidden Signals Challenge.

The challenge was to design an early warning system to uncover emerging biothreats using data, machine learning, and predictive analytics.

The Vituity Data Team won for their model that alerts authorities of spikes in emergency department wait times that can be attributed to emergent flu pandemics.

As a finalist, the team received $20,000 to help them as they advance to phase two of the competition. Congratulations to the Vituity Data Team on this exciting accomplishment!
