UMC Northeast Emergency Department

4669 Cohen Avenue, El Paso, TX 79924

UMC Northeast Emergency Department is the first standalone emergency department in El Paso County. Just around the corner from University Medical Center of El Paso, the emergency department was built to create a more central location for patient care, reducing travel times for patients needing emergency services. University Medical Center of El Paso has been recognized for its performance as one of the 100 top hospitals in the United States on three separate occasions.

On the farthest western end of Texas is El Paso, a city that sits on the Rio Grande and borders New Mexico and Mexico. El Paso is just a 30-minute drive from Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. El Paso’s proximity to and history with Mexico is reflected in its culture and food. The year-round festivals and events that El Paso hosts, such as the Dia de los Muertos Celebration and Viva! El Paso, give you a taste of this blend of cultures. Aside from annual events, the desert city offers a wide range of activities and locations to visit, such as the El Paso Museum of Art, music festivals, wineries, and the El Paso Zoo. Those wanting to enjoy the city’s desert beauty can explore Franklin Mountains State Park as well as botanical gardens.
