The city of Roseburg is situated in southwestern Oregon, at the heart of the "Hundred Valleys of the Umpqua." This scenic area has been compared geographically and climatologically with Italy and southern France. Extremes of heat and cold are rare, summer humidity is low, and snowfall is uncommon on the valley floor. Northern Umpqua Valley is known for having among the most beautiful scenery and fly-fishing waters in the nation, and some of Oregon's best wineries are located in the Umpqua Valley. http://www.roseburgareachamber.org
