Support for Lifesaving Care

Vituity offers intensivists the ideal opportunity to build a stable career in the challenging specialty of critical care. We know a dependable team with a common passion for patient health is vital to care for the critically ill and injured. So to better support you, we have built an expert care team that collaborates across the entire Acute Care Continuum.

Partnering with State Agencies to Provide Emergency COVID Relief

As COVID-19 cases flood hospitals during a winter surge, Vituity is partnering with state agencies to provide tele-critical care support to California hospitals. Any hospital in California now has access to Vituity physicians trained in critical care management to help with the care of their critically ill COVID patients, 24 hours/day.

Depending on their needs, hospitals can choose from multiple service levels, ranging from telehealth consultations with front-line ICU providers to active attending physician clinical management.

Ian Butler, MD, Director of Quality and Performance at Vituity, says the organization is honored to support California’s ICU clinicians. “Critical care teams are working to the point of exhaustion with no end to in sight,” he says. “They are the true heroes of this pandemic, and we are humbled to stand beside them. Together, we are going to make it through.”

Empowering Intensivists in Their Careers

Intensivists benefit from our systems of support and best practices to grow beyond the ICU, including leadership training, cross-departmental integration, physician and advanced provider relationship building, and time-tested tools for process improvements.

Founded by physicians nearly 50 years ago, Vituity is a national democratic group that is 100% equitably physician-owned, with no outside investors or private equity. We offer stability and financial autonomy with the benefit of a national practice infrastructure.

Opportunities to Grow

When you join Vituity, you'll be part of an invested Partnership with a clearly defined path for advancement and leadership opportunities. As an owner, you and your fellow clinicians have autonomy over site practices. Life circumstances often require flexibility, so opportunities are available at any of our critical care sites across the country.

“Vituity’s Partnership model gives me everything I need to thrive over the long haul as a critical care physician. My Partners and I share a common goal of providing the best possible outcomes for patients while maintaining quality of life. That balance keeps us fresh and enthusiastic about our practice."
