EMERYVILLE, Calif., September 20, 2018 – Vituity, a leading physician-led and-owned multispecialty partnership, is proud to announce they have been chosen as the emergency medicine services provider at the three campuses of Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican hospitals in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, effective October 4, 2018.

As part of the Dignity Health network, the Rose de Lima, San Martín,and Siena Campuses of St. Rose Dominican hospitals receive more than 124,000 emergency medicine visits annually. Vituity currently provides teleneurology services to these facilities and is pleased to extend its integrated emergency medicine services to further support the acute care needs of the Las Vegas and Henderson communities.

Vituity’s Vice President, Daniel Culhane, MD, shares his excitement about this partnership and its positive impact on patient care: “Vituity is proud to have been selected by St. Rose Dominican’s hospitals to deliver emergency medicine services to their three locations. We look forward to delivering strong leadership and outstanding services to these sites in addition to the other 15 Dignity Health locations we currently staff. We believe that the long-standing Dignity Health-Vituity partnership and ongoing collaboration will result in outstanding emergency care for our patients.”

“St. Rose Dominican is pleased to expand our partnership with Vituity,” says Eugene Bassett, SVP of Operations for Dignity Health Nevada and President/CEO of the Siena Campus. “In addition to their long-standing history with Dignity Health, Vituity’s strong clinical leadership and consistent performance improvement record made them a stand-out choice. On behalf of our care team, I can say we look forward to working together in a more integrated and collaborative way for the benefit of our patients.”

Founded by emergency physicians, Vituity understands the unique challenges of emergency medicine. For more than 45 years, Vituity has been developing best practices in emergency department management to ensure hospitals are able to care for patients effectively. Through a physician-led and collaborative approach, Vituity’s emergency medicine programs address critical issues facing most EDs today, such as overcrowding, patient flow, patients leaving without being seen, and wait times.

Because many patients begin their hospital journey in the emergency department, an efficient and coordinated environment is a tremendous advantage for patients and staff alike. Vituity’s CEO, Imamu Tomlinson, MD, describes their care model, “Given that emergency departments deliver nearly half of all U.S. hospital-based medical care, it’s essential that a care model exists to deliver quality, compassionate care to all patients. Our emergency medicine practice offers an integrated, customized, and effective solution that empowers emergency departments to take ownership of every patient who walks through their door.”
