Riverside University Health System (RUHS) Medical Center is a 439-bed hospital that offers excellence in healthcare as well as medical education for the region’s medical residents, nursing students, and allied health professionals. Fellows in Vituity’s EMPA Fellowship Program at RUHS Medical Center will train in the 38-bed emergency department that oversees 100,000 patient visits annually and serves as the first responder in the case of natural disasters for Riverside County. The hospital has a Level II adult and pediatric trauma center, primary stroke center, and fully operational paramedic base station. It anticipates the opening of its STEMI center in 2021.
